Drewan Baird. Oudtshoorn. 2 October 2013. 07h50. MEC Anton Bredell filed a Notice of Motion in the WCHC yesterday asking that the Court directs the “continuation” of the Special Council Meeting ordered by Judge Henney for 20 September – the meeting which was held and abandoned by the DA and Cope – on October 10, next Thursday.
Bredell also wants the Chairperson of the Cape Bar Council to appoint a chairperson for this meeting.
This meeting, demands Bredell, must exclusively deal with the Motions of No Confidence.
Also, Bredell wants the Court to declare the suspension of the voting rights of DA Councillors Pierre Nel and Ben van Wyk unlawful.
