Oudtshoorn. 10 January 2013. 12h10. While Eden mayor Wessie van der Weshuizen is still fixing to secure a “14th cheque” for his “political advisor” who instructed the Cope Bitou councillor not to afford the DA a majority until the personal money battle is won, the Bitou council did, at last, this morning meet.
Annelize Olivier is the new speaker and Wayne Craig was inaugerated.
Van Wyk was redeployed by the DA from Eden when Johann Brummer was moved from Bitou before his “automatic computer generated termination” last year.
The DA promised the voters of Ward 2 “control of the council” in the December by-election… The DA could not even effect a council meeting by the power of its coalition partner, Cope.
Well done, voters of Ward 2 – the DA really got ya!
O!O’s reports on the Vuyani Gouws blackmail have now been referred to Cope’s Leonard Ramotlakane… Watch this space.
