Oudtshoorn. 19 April 2012. 15h15. Bongi Luthuli responded just after 15h00:

Dear Drewan

The South African Board for Sheriffs thank you for your enquiry.

Please note that we are currently investigating the matter concerning Mr
Cupido.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide you with any details regarding the case until we have exhausted our internal processes and reached a conclusion.

Thank you

Mr B Z Luthuli aka Bongi
Acting Executive Manager
South African Board for Sheriffs

OO has learned that the Mossel Bay Sheriff served a rent interdict on the local office stores in Toekomsrus this morning.

Oudtshoorn. 19 April 2012. 08h30. The office of the local Sheriff, Mr Reginald Cupido, all but closed down yesterday as deputies and staff were idling about, disallowed from working on legal grounds.

While rumours abound, some of which were confirmed by OO, Mr Bongi Luthuli, Acting Executive Manager of the South African Board of Sheriffs, told OO yesterday afternoon that he will soon release a statement on the circumstances surrounding the Oudtshoorn office.

  1. Erratum……..

I shot the sheriff but I SHOULD HAVE shot the deputy …. sung of course to the same harmony, but this time round, please, with greater inflection and progressive crescendo to close of with a “bang”!

    Gotcha!

  2. Why did I not quote the above words?

Why, because I knew that Fedup! would!

  3. Find your sheet music and voices and please sing along–

I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy……………..
