Oudtshoorn. 26 March 2012. 12h35. Whilst the DA Leader, Helen Zille, is grilled for calling Eastern Cape learners, abandoned by the inefficacy of the friedômoefmunt liedahship, refugees – which they certainly are – OO is calling on Madam Premier to attend also to the ANC’s hostages in Oudtshoorn: all 50.8% of us who voted not to be governed by the Comrades.
Why don’t you send your muscle men, Theuns Botha, the Western Cape Leader; Anton Bredell, the Western Cape Secretary; Jac Bekker, the local MP; Ryan Coetzee, even, the shpeshûl atvaizir, to come rescue us out of harm’s way, Madam Premier!?
It’s going to be difficult, to be sure. And it will involve some actual brainwork.
Being saved from the ANC by the DA.
It’s like being saved from a slave ship – by pirates.
Helen Zille is tweeting while my home is burning.
Not good enough, Mrs Nero!
Not good enough!
OO does, however, like Zille’s “kragdadige” turns of phrase on twitter. OO thinks that if the good Premier would trust to her own instinct more regularly than listening to what oftentimes smacks of halfbaked advice, our land may be progressed faster.
Hereks OO’s note to Mrs Nero, earlier today:
Your tweets are spot-on, the indefatigable Zapiro’s latest chef-d’oeuvre nontheless.
I think the DA’s attitude in Eden, Oudtshoorn, and Plett stinks, but your tweets are hitting the spot.
Don’t ever bring a penknife to a gunfight.
